Perceptions of Disability

Our impact

Building on the success of the London 2012 Paralympic Games, our projects challenge people’s perceptions of disabled people (including their self-perceptions). Our investments ensure we’re more inclusive and positive, as individuals, communities and society as a whole. We work with partners to ensure disabled people are acknowledged for what they can achieve and contribute to public and local life.

The projects we fund recognise and celebrate disabled people’s contribution to sports, arts and culture, and volunteering.

We promote the social model of disability. We are committed to funding inclusive projects that address the barriers, including attitudes and perceptions, that may disable people from having equal opportunities to participate.
